Official Charity Partner

At KidsCan, we feel it is a great injustice that one in four New Zealand children live in poverty, going without the basics most of us take for granted. As a reputable New Zealand charity, our mission is to strive to be the conduit for individuals, community, business and Government to co-operate in providing food, clothing and basic health care in schools, to enable all disadvantaged NZ children to reach their potential.

The charity was founded in 2005 and today supports the education of thousands of disadvantaged New Zealand children a day, in 428 low decile schools nationwide.

As of today KidsCan supports 12,500 hungry children a week with food insecurity. Our tangible programmes, Food for Kids, Shoes for Kids, Raincoats for Kids and Health for Kids concentrate on giving the basics directly to children in need in partnership with the schools they attend.

At KidsCan we firmly believe education equals opportunity and we recognise that if children are to lift themselves out of the cycle they and their families are in, they need to be able to take advantage of the education they receive at school.
